Crank locking pin for installing the timing belt on some V6 VW®/Audi®cars with 2 valve V6 and 5 valve engines and the 4.2 liter V8.
This heavy duty pin goes in the side of the block and locks the crank at Top Dead Center. Essential for proper timing belt installation on all V6 Audi® and VW® and the 4.2 liter V8. OK for both early 2 valve AND later 5 valve per cyl. engines but not VR6®. NOT suitable for 3.0 and 3.2 liter V6. Solid steel with coating to resist rust. Coating color may vary. Metalnerd® brand, Made in USA.
