This specialty drive bit is used with your 7/8" or 22 mm socket or box wrench to remove the slotted nuts found on MK1 (MKI) and some MK2 (MKII) struts. Interior has a thru bore that allows you to reach inside and hold the strut shaft with a standard 6 or 7 mm hex bit (3/8" drive). Some brands brands of strut use 6 mm and some use 7 mm hex. Heat treated alloy steel, Metalnerd® Brand, Made in USA.
